Which Would You Choose, Girls Or Boys?

If you had the power to choose the sex of your unborn child, would you take that chance? Are you going to choose a boy over a girl or vice versa?

A study was conducted from the University of Exeter in Britain to determine if the diet of the mothers could affect the sex of their unborn fetus. The team of researchers was headed by Fiona Matthews and they surveyed the diets of 740 first time mothers who didn’t know the sex of the fetuses.

Fifty six percent of the women who had high calorie diets had sons compared to 46% of the women who weren’t fed well enough. It was also shown that the group who bore sons was more likely to have a diet rich in nutrients including potassium, calcium, vitamins C, E and B12. The group who had a diet of lesser nutrients, minerals and calories had daughters.

The study also showed that women who had at least one bowl of cereal a day had sons than other women who had lesser bowls of cereal in a week. This still supports the study that having a high caloric diet would lead to having sons.

This is good news to women who have had daughters and want to have a son this time or the other way around. This doesn’t hold true in every instance but for those who have been waiting for sons or daughters can take this chance to have one.
