Here is an update on the rectal surgery scandal where a video showing the misconduct of a medical team while extracting a canister from a patient’s rectum was uploaded on YouTube. It was

Apparently justice has been done and two doctors and a nurse are facing preventive suspension for three months. Many have questioned this since there are actually seven doctors and six nurses who were filed with the complaint however only three got the suspension.

The authorities explained that though there were 13 who were filed the complaint, only the three of them are charged of possible misconduct from laughing and cheering while the extraction was being performed.

One of the doctors who are to be suspended had his own counsel to defend him especially against the 3-month preventive suspension. His defense is that 3 months is too long for a suspension and the number of lives he might save would be countless. Right. After what he did, who would want to go to such a doctor for his services?

Hopefully, this will all be dealt with soon and that justice will be done to the patient whose rights have been violated.
