Recounting The 21st Of February: The Results For The Board Exam For Nurses Were Released

It was another sunny day in the land of the tropics. The skies were a bright blue and the clouds were lazily breezing along over the land. Well, what would you be expecting when it’s mid February and the rainy season has come and gone at last. Summer was on it’s way and it’s hints were blatant among the beachbums who have been awaiting the season of sun and sea. Indeed it was a day of great relaxation and calmness. However, in this vast sea of serenity, there was another group of people who were in great anticipation and anxiety. They were the examinees for the National Licensure Exams for Nurses held last December 2007.

There had been much speculation that the results of the board exam will be released any time that day. However, some examinees, including Zee, didn’t believe in these rumors. You see, it had been passed around for more than a week now and it was old news to receive such messages. More so, there were also official announcements made that the results would have been released the other day but sadly they weren’t true. Little did they know that these were serious news.

Mid afternoon of the 21^st of February, traffic to major news sites and nursing blogs instantly became heavy. Word had spread out that the results of the board exams had been released. This time, it really was the real thing. Everyone was all in a rush to get into these sites. Each hoping to get a glimpse of their name on the roster of new nurses. Some got their prayers answered while some weren’t as lucky.

The results have been released. The top ten board examinees have been named. The nursing schools that had the highest passing percentage have been revealed. The date, place and time for the oath taking ceremony have been scheduled. What’s next for the successful examinees and what are now to become of those who weren’t fortunate enough to pass?
