Get a Score of 9: The Highest In IELTS

For students and immigrants who wish to study or work in the countries; Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK and USA, it is requirement to take the IELTS or the International English Language Testing System.

IELTS is an exam designed to assess language proficiency. Since it was developed in the 1980’s, it has been a widely trusted and reputable exam that measures the true to life ability of a person to communicate in English. It tests a person on the four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

Since the exam is both taken by students and immigrants, there are also two types of the exams. One is the Academic Module which must be taken by students who wants to study in a university in an English speaking country. The immigrants, on the other hand, will take the General Training Module.

The test is taken the whole day and is divided into four parts with each having its own time limit. Listening will take 40 minutes, reading will take 1 hour, writing is another hour and lastly, speaking will take 15 minutes. The language skills is evaluated on a scale of 0 to 9, 0 being the lowest (non-user) and 9 being the highest (expert user).

There are classes offered by various companies for those who want to ready themselves for the exam. They offer a fee for their services but these will surely increase the chances of getting a score of 7 or higher.
